A new day....

I am so thankful that Lord's mercies are new every morning. Like you, some nights I fall into bed, wondering if anything else could have been crammed in a 24-hr period. Life with three children, and two of us working can be hectic, but it is what it is. God continues to pour out His abundant love in our lives and we are so grateful.

My heart still breaks over the things I wrote in the last post, but I know that God is sufficient to meet all of DanNi's needs and our needs as her parents. She and JingJing just finished their soccer seasons, both scoring a few goals for their teams. I really wasn't sure if either of them wanted to play, but we signed them up for several reasons....going back to an earlier post about parenting on purpose. I purposely wanted them to exercise and have fun doing it....I wanted them to have the experience being part of a team (I am all about team sports and the things/disciplines you learn being part of a team)....I wanted them to be in something with a definite start and finish, so if in the meantime they were tempted to quit, we would emphasize finishing what you start and honoring commitments to things and people you made...and I wanted them exposed to an additional social activity. I think all of our goals were met and they did great! I am very proud of them both, as I am very proud of Meredith.

All three girls brought home their report cards on Friday and they did fabulous! DanNi finished this first quarter without being involved in an ESL class because they had not hired a teacher yet. She made all A's and B's without any accommodations! That is AMAZING, considering where she was just 7 months ago. Meredith and JingJing made all A's and that was a great accomplishment for both of them as well. We are so fortunate to live in a place with great schools and teachers. These are just a few of thre evidences of God's mercy and grace in our family.

As we press on, be encouraged that whatever you are facing, the God of this universe, the Creator of all, desires relationship with you and longs to pour out His grace on your life.
