Hearts of Compassion Hosts Sixty Feet

We are so excited for this Sunday! Jennifer heard people from Sixty Feet speak when she was visiting Julie in MS, back in April, and arranged for them to come to Parkview. I know that God has huge plans for those attending and we invite any, and ALL, to come hear them share their story. They will be showing a documentary and explaining their ministry.

From the little I know, they minister to children imprisoned in Uganda. It's so hard for me to even wrap my brain around that. We live in such extravagance here in the States, while millions, MILLIONS of people around us are suffering....and more often than not, we don't even give it a thought. I pray that our hearts would be broken for the things that break His heart....and I know that the poor and needy, especially children who are poor and needy, are close to His heart. He has tender compassion for them, so we as believers should as well. It's not good enough to just throw money at a 'cause'; but I believe as the Great Commission states in Matthew 28, all who call themselves Christians are to GO, and minister the love of Jesus to the world around us.

Where will you GO? What will you DO, to be the hands and feet of Jesus to a dying and broken people? Where will I GO? What will I DO to show His love? I pray that my priorities and the things that I hold dear, I would count them all but loss, for the sake of knowing Him and making Him known.
