Difficult to swallow...

We got the long-awaited phone call about our TA on Sept. 1! We were so excited to know that our Travel Approval was issued, finally. AWAA called me and I was teaching at Decatur High, so the travel coordinator, Teresa, called Matthew. After 3rd block was over, I called Matthew and he told me we had the option of traveling Sept. 12 or Oct. 7. Of course, I was ecstatic thinking we could leave Sept. 12.

Teresa said she would request a Consulate Appt. for us and we'd know for sure the next day, whether it was confirmed or not. About 10am on Sept. 2, Teresa called me to let us know we COULD NOT get a Consulate Appt. for leaving Sept. 12. We were devastated.....to have the TA, but not be able to travel is sickening...gut-wrenching....

Where it stands now, we have a CA for Oct. 18, leaving Oct.7 b/c China takes a week-long holiday...ugh!!!
That all depends on other families getting their TAs so we could travel as a group...and then they have to be able to get a CA that 'jives' with ours. Go figure...the US Consulate DOES NOT make CA on Thursdays or Fridays. WHY??? Who knows?

However, I truly believe His Word, that 'with man, this is impossible; but with God, all things are possible'. I really do believe that...if it's in His plan, a miracle is possible. Everyone keeps reminding us that His timing is perfect and I know that is true...it's just hard to understand how making her wait for us to come get her could be a good thing. Hasn't she suffered enough?

We continue to pray for her and we absolutely cannot wait to hold her, touch her, kiss her, and comfort her.
PRAYING FOR A MIRACLE!!!
