Mother's Day

Looking back on yesterday...I am reminded how my life has been affected by 5 different moms.

Mom #1.... My Mom....if not for my mom I would not be here today or the person I am today....you can either give my mom credit or blame for how I turned out. I give her credit because I don't think I turned out too bad. So thank you mom for everything.

Mom #2.... Janet Graham (Stephanie's mom)...38 years ago she gave birth to a baby that would one day grow up to be my wife and mother of my children. Thank you Janet for the imapct you had on her life and for the person she is today. (I will pay for the 38 years comment..since Stephanie is 36 and not 38...so she says).

Mom #3....Stephanie...our girls are so blessed to have Stephanie as their mom. She is such a great role model for our girls showing them how to be a mom and wife. Her love for them is so great and she will do anything in the world for them. Our girls probably don't understand yet how blessed they are to have Stephanie as their mom but they will one day when they are adults looking back at their childhood. Thank you Stephanie for being such a great mom to my girls.

Mom #4....JingJing's Biological Mom....a lady I will never met but she has blessed my life greatly by giving birth to JingJing and then by making what had to be a very difficult choice of giving her up for another family to raise. This lady gave our family a tremendous gift in JingJing and I can't imagine our lives without her. There seems like I need to do more than say "thank you" to this lady but I can't since I will never know her...I can hope and pray that she is a Christian and that God has in some way let her know that the baby she carried for 9 months and gave birth to is being loved and cared for today.

Mom #5....Emma Biological Mom....another lady I will most likely never meet. Her situation was different than JingJing Biological Mom since it appears that Emma lived with her for 8 years. Hopefully Emma will be able to share with us the details as to how she ended up an orphanage. We have so many questions about her because of the age Emma was when she went to the orphanage...but the one thing I know for sure is I am so thankful that God allowed this lady to have Emma so she could one day join our family.

Thank you to each mom and for the part you have played in my life.

Matthew
