Only You, God, Only You

How humbled I am to even be on this journey; to be called by Him to join Him in what He is doing, is far more than anything I could have ever dreamed or imagined.

After looking at several adoption agencies on the Internet, and by His divine guidance, some doors were closed with certain agencies, so we were led back to AWAA, the agency we used to bring Jing-Jing home in 2004.

We began looking at the Waiting Children the week of Oct. 18th and narrowed it down to a boy and a girl. Matthew and I both had certain feelings about the children, but prayed for peace and unity and He brought that, of course. We'd read their short bios and viewed their small photos and really could not make a decision. So, I decided to email Melissa on Wed., Oct. 28th to see if by law, she could give us their birthdays and cities they were living in, thinking that info. might help us make a decision.

All the while, Twisted Fate is going on and we are DEAD TIRED, but praying nonetheless. We had already completed most of the online application, but were waiting on a couple of things. I knew the girl was 11, which meant she was born in 1998, the year Matthew and I met. I remember thinking, how weird that would be if her b'day was around the time we met.

We got home from Twisted Fate about 11:30pm Wed, the 28th and had an email from Melissa. The girl's birthday is May 17, 1998, ONE WEEK exactly from the day Matthew and I first saw each other at Travis Ave. Bapt. Church in Ft. Worth, TX. Not only that, but she is living about
1 hour from where Jing-Jing lived in Guangdong, China. Soooooo, we took that as divine providence, that she will be our daughter.

We completed the app. on Thur., Oct. 29th and are now waiting for official approval, so we can sign some agreements and begin our 'paper pregnancy'. You see, I will not be 'showing' physically, but if you could peer into my heart, you see that I am pregnant, with joy and anticipation of what He is going to do, and with a mother's love for this little girl I have not even met. That, is the miracle of adoption.
