Costa Rica Arrival

While Meredith and I (Daddy) are in Costa Rica I will try to share with you how our trip is going.  We departed from Huntsville early Saturday morning and made our connection in Atlanta without any problems.  First sign that God is looking out for us happened when we arrived in Atlanta.  We had less than an hour to make the flight to Costa Rica and in Atlanta that is not a ton of time....would you believe we arrived at Gate T4 and our flight to Costa Rica departed from Gate T3....He is good.

Well we arrived in Costa Rica and made the longer bus ride to our hotel...5-6 hours which included a stop for lunch and it offered local Costa Rican food.  Meredith had a good lunch to her surprise I think.  On the drive we were able to see a ton of Costa Rica and were reminded how well be have it in the states.

As we checked into our hotel each person then realized our room have NO A/C.  Let me tell you it is very humid in Costa Rica but as I shared with Meredith....a good portion of the world outside of the US lives with much less than we are used to.  I am so thankful to be able to share this experience with her....she can't wait to get to the orphanage tomorrow because there is a 1 year old girl named Eva that she wants to love on so much she is about to explode.

Pray for our group.  This is the first time some of them have been on a mission trip outside of the US.  We can talk about how the rest of the world lives but until we experience it firsthand we don't really understand how well we have it.  Well it is getting late so we better get in bed....also pray for no visitors to join us in our room tonight.

Matthew
