Well I turned 40 years old a couple of days ago. It will be a birthday that I will NEVER forget. The started off with Stephanie hanging a "Happy 40th Birthday" banner on our hotel door. She took a candle to breakfast for me to blow out and all throughout the day she did everything possible to make it a special day for me. I am so blessed to have her as my wife.
Of course spending the day with all 3 of my daughters was wonderful. As I wrote on Facebook earlier, JingJing and DanNi gave me a hit on the backside and DanNi even let me chase her around our 2 rooms for a few minutes. God answered my prayer, I simply wanted a few moments throughout the day where DanNi and I could connect....thank you God!!!!! We spent the evening on a Pearl River Dinner Cruise with 2 other families from our group and it was a beautiful night. More smiles on DanNi's face.
Each day it seems as though DanNi and I are having more moments of connecting. She loves to play UNO and she usually sits next to me. Each time she gives me a "Draw 4" or skips me, she breaks out in a laugh. I love getting those "Draw 4" cards. I haved loved her for so long without knowing her and now having her with me just makes me love her even more. I will never take for granted again the smiles from my daughters....they should all be treasured.
I have so much more I could share but shopping at Shamian Island awaits. We leave for Hong Kong on Wednesday and head for Alabama on Saturday....we are so looking forward to be home. See you all soon!!

ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful day!! So thankful DanNi is feeling more relaxed around youall. Dean and I are still praying for all of you as you bond together as a family. We shared the praises of progress with our small group as they all have been praying for youall too. Will be glad when you're all back home!! Just having all 3 girls was a blessing, but to be able to have special moments with DanNi was an answer to prayer....Stephanie always makes everyone's birthday special and that is a gift in itself. We have looked at all the pics...they're great, we especially loved the ones with the girls jumping on the bed..it gave moments of joy into DanNi's smile..We continue to pray for all of you.....the Lord to be working in DanNi's heart, leading her to an openness so that the love of her new Forever Family can shine through to her Praying for your bus trip to Hong Kong and then the flights that will bring you all back home to Decatur. Can't wait to see all 5 of you get off that airplane. Hope Meredith's skype to her class went well....I know she was excited you could tell it by the look on her face! Love you all...M/D
