Goodness, I can't believe how much has happened since my last post!! Can we say BUUUSSSSSYYYY!!!! I feel like I barely have time to breathe....anyway, here's a brief rundown on where we are with Emma's adoption and a very concise timeline:
1. The Lord granted us favor and our MD clearances came in Feb. 9th
2. Also on Feb. 9th, we received updated medical info. on Emma and three new precious pictures of her.
(We cannot WAIT to be able to post her picture for you!)She looks great...she has good color in her face and she looks healthy.
3. And on Feb. 9th, our Family Coordinator received our Home Study to review.
4. During the whole Home Study approval process, we received our Pre-Approval from the CCAA.....yeah!!!!!!!
5. Our Home Study was finalized Feb. 26th....YIPPPEEEEE----major step in the process.
SOOOOoooooo, now we are hoping that Villa Hope has sent our Home Study to AL DHR b/c they have to approve it (although we've been fingerprinted by them and the FBI) before it can be sent to Immigration.
What are we doing now, then? Well, we have registered for a required online Older Child Adoption training course and are working on that.
I finished our taxes---WOW---I'm glad that is over!!! Looks like we're getting refunds from both fed. and state---what a blessing. ANd, I'm going to begin amending our 2008 and 2007 AL returns b/c I think I failed to include my teacher's retirement figures, which should give us more of a return....we shall see!!
