Boy am I tired, but very thankful....today Matthew and I had our physicals. Not so thankful for the physical, itself, but thankful it's over! We have officially gathered ALL our docs needed for the Home Study and Dossier; with the exception of the Home Study report, which will be written once we are assigned a social worker.
And we are hoping that will occur shortly after the New Year. Yesterday was a busy, but fruitful day; so was last Friday the 18th. I guess I'll start there to backtrack a bit..Thursday, Dec. 17th, after work we left for B'ham. Matthew's parents kept the girls for us, b/c we had fingerprint appts. in Montgomery Fri. morning. Thankfully we had enough points for a free hotel night, so we stayed in Calera and then drove to Montgomery in the pouring rain on Friday.
The Lord stopped the rain for us in Montgomery, which was awesome b/c we didn't have an umbrella! We met a lady in one govt. building, then she directed us to another building a few blocks away for our LIVE Scan prints. For the drive and the extra expense, we are hoping they do come back faster than the traditional card prints! And, a special thanks to Matthew's parents who took the girls for their physicals, which entailed shots and blood being drawn, which the nurse failed to inform me about.
We returned to Decatur Friday about 3:30pm and had a Sunday school party that night, which was a lot of fun.
Sat....I don't even remember Saturday. I really am very tired.
Sun...we went to church in the morning; Matthew and I taught our class and then we went to eat at Canton House w/the local FCC group. The girls had their choir program that night and Meredith did a wonderful job on her solo!
Yesterday, Monday...dropped of urine samples from the girls at the peds. and had the RN complete a few blanks on their forms; went to the Police Station to get our clearnace reports to verify that we are not criminals; and ran some other errands.
Soooo, after our trip, we just need to pick up our physicals from the doctor; since our lab results will come back over the holidays.
The sense of urgency is overwhelming, since we know that our little one is waiting...although she may not know she is waiting for us...we know we are waiting on her...to love her and bring her home.
